TPT Group is committed to sound corporate governance that will ensure the company operates as efficiently as possible while providing for the appropriate level of accountability and transparency. The Board guides strategic direction and context and focuses on issues critical for the businesses successful execution.
The Board delegates management of the day-to-day affairs of the company to the Executive Team under the leadership of the Group Chief Executive Officer to deliver the strategic direction and goals determined by the Board.
Mike Marr - Managing Director & Group CEO
Mike was born in Pukekohe and is a New Zealand entrepreneur, he’s the co-founder and owner of TPT Group and he holds a number of governance roles. Over nearly 25 years Mike has led 10 successful start-up companies and completed 15 business acquisitions. In 2020, Mike was acknowledged as a Blake Leader Awardee. This prestigious award recognises inspirational New Zealander's whose leadership style has delivered high-impact results and contributed to a more sustainable future for Aotearoa.
In 2017, he was one of two Global recipients of the Beta Gamma Sigma Medallion of Entrepreneurship (the first recipient to be awarded the Global honour outside of the USA). The Medallion for Entrepreneurship is awarded to noteworthy Global business people who combine innovative business achievement with service to humanity. In 2014 he was a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for NZ.
Mike is a professional director of electricity lines company Waipa Networks, The Runway Foundation, and an elected member of Counties Energy Trust. He recently retired as the chair of Rhema Media, and the AUT University Business School Advisory Board.
Mike and his wife Terese founded The Runway Foundation in 2015, a registered NZ Charitable Trust providing support for families experiencing the challenge of ADHD but also to support the wider community. He is a strong believer in giving back to the community and supports several charities and community initiatives, including Lifewise, Community Food Banks and Crisis Funds.
Mark Loveard - Group Independent Director
Mark has enjoyed a varied and interesting career as an Executive in the aviation, telecommunication, energy, and technology industries in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
He has held senior roles including as Head of Financial, Commercial & Legal for the Three Waters National Transition Unit, Chief Operating Officer of Victoria University, and Chief Financial Officer & GM Shared Services of Airways Corporation, to name a few.
Mark is also a strong believer in values-based leadership – guided by his personal values of integrity, fairness, helping people reach their full potential, family, respect and gratitude.
Moreover, he has a reputation for being a right-brained thinker who enjoys working with others to produce innovative, creative, and effective solutions.
Brendan Wood - Group Independent Director
Brendan is a highly regarded New Zealand commercial lawyer residing in Auckland with Daniel Overton & Goulding. Brendan specialises in acquisitions, commercial law and commercial property.
Brendan holds a Bachelor of Law with Honour's.
He also holds various Independent Trustee roles as well as Non-Executive Director roles. One of his previous roles included being a Non-Executive Director of listed company Just Water International.
Robert Ferris - Group Independent Director
Robert is an experienced senior executive having held positions of General Manager and Managing Director during his 18 years at Electrix, one of New Zealand's largest Electrical and Gas contracting companies, where he oversaw a period of sustained growth.
He brings extensive commercial experience to the TPT Group board with a strong focus on people and safety.
Robert has significant experience in the Power Industry and holds an NZCE Electrical.
Previous governance roles include the industry-based EEA, and the PEET at University of Canterbury.
Amy Johnson - Future Director
Amy Johnson is a respected Enterprise Business Technology and AI thought leader.
With a Business and Technology background, she is a Kiwi who is a global citizen studying at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and returning to New Zealand to co-found a highly successful global AI and Customer Experience Technology company where she serves as Chief Customer Experience Officer and COO.
She has a deep knowledge of enterprise systems, digital customer experience, customer journeys, enterprise value chain processes, AI and how these can be transformed to deliver further tangible returns for enterprises and their customers.
She is currently a Director of MyWave Limited and Closeburn Station Management Company Ltd.
Amy holds a Bachelors Degree in Business /Managerial Economics as well as a Master of Arts in Business /Managerial Economics.
Amy has a proven track record of commercialising technology in global markets and helps companies with digital strategies, data strategies, business process optimisation, employee productivity improvements, investment in new technologies and end to end customer journeys that increase sales and take out significant costs while improving the customer experience.
